Anthony is the senior driver and watchman for HHA. His family fled the South Sudan war in 2017 and have since been living in Bidibidi Refugee Settlement, one of the largest settlements in the world. Anthony is an experienced driver and trustworthy watchman who loves spending time with our visiting teams and helping out wherever help is needed.

Phil has a range of responsibilities including finance, logistics, and daily operations splitting his time between our Haiti and East Africa operations. He brings with him decades of relevant experience from a long career in the Navy and various Project Management roles. Phil is a big Rugby fan and enjoys motorbike touring.

Aggrey joined HHA in May 2024 as the East Africa Human Resource Manager. As an experienced Human Resource practitioner with over 10 years in the field, he is passionate about fostering a supportive and productive workplace. Aggrey holds a post graduate diploma in Human Resource Management and Project Planning and Management, a degree in Public Administration and Management and other short courses. Throughout his career, Aggrey has worked across diverse industries both local and international, focusing on building strong teams, enhancing employee engagement, and ensuring compliance with labour laws. His approach is centred on collaboration, innovation, and creating a positive organisational culture that supports the beneficiaries, employees, and the employer

Scovia is a seasoned leader and development expert passionate about community service and Biblical Servant Leadership. With dual degrees in Public Administration and Community-Based Development, Scovia who is a board member to 4 NGOs, has excelled in leadership and project management roles. Previously, she served as Country Director for Seed Effect South Sudan and Head of Operations for Seed Effect Uganda, later co-founding Yenet, a Christian NGO supporting refugees. Now, as EA Head of Programmes at Hope Health Action, she drives impactful initiatives restoring health, dignity, and empowerment to vulnerable communities, embodying her values of adding value and serving with compassion. Her remarkable journey from refugee to leader showcases her resilience and dedication to creating positive change.

Robert joined HHA with 6 years experience as an Occupational Therapist in the management of children, adolescents and adults with disabilities, both mental and physical conditions. His goal is to empower individuals with disabilities to reach their full potential, participate fully in life, and achieve optimal quality of life.

Known by most at HHA as 'Dr T', Paul has played a pivotal role in supporting our medical programmes in Haiti since we began in 2007. We're delighted he's joined us in the new chapter of work by overseeing all things medical within our Haiti set up.

Nancie has led the team at our respite home for many years and we're delighted that she joins us in its new home to continue leading the amazing team of staff.

James is an accounts professional with over 8 years of experience in all aspects of non-profit operations including roles at World Vision Uganda and Cure Children’s Hospital International. James joined HHA in 2021 and leads on the financial and governance elements of the HHA EA operations. James is committed to seeing lives transformed through his work.

Agnes is South Sudanese, originally a teacher by profession, but now also a wheelchair technician. Agnes worked for HHA as a Community Based Rehabilitation worker for 3 years before becoming a wheelchair technician in 2021. She now manages the CBR teams in Uganda and South Sudan - a team of 31! Agnes is passionate about serving people with disabilities and loves to work in the community.

Emma manages the P&O department, based at our Disability Centre in BidiBidi Refugee Settlement. He studied Orthopaedic Technology at Mulago Paramedical School in Kampala and joined HHA in October 2021 to serve people living with disability through the creation of artificial limbs and training to use them.

Robert holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Human Nutrition from Makerere University Kampala and now works as Project Manager for our Nutrition and livelihoods work, following on from his previous role as Nutrition Officer. Robert is an experienced Community and Clinical Nutritionist with a strong history of working with non-profit organisations and public authorities. Cons is an information technology specialist who learnt his profession at Cavendish University, Uganda. Isaac joined HHA in July 2023 as a Clinical officer/Team leader based at our New Hope Kajo-Keji Health & Rehabilitation Centre, South Sudan, and his key role is to manage all aspects of the clinic both patient focused and supportive services. Isaac graduated from Health Science Institute, Juba Central Equatoria State in 2016 with a diploma in Clinical Medicine and Public Health, and has previously worked as a Clinical Officer with IMA WORLD HEALTH, ACROSS INTERNATIONAL and Action Africa Help (AAH).

Joe Janvier aka “Mr. Joe,” wears many hats for HHA. He currently serves as the Program Assistant and is also the official HHA Translator. Outside of work, Joe loves music and has been known to “spin a record or two” as a DJ in Haiti. Many of our followers will recognise Joe and his famous “smile!”

Justine oversees the centre’s operations and management following 12 years as a humanitarian worker focusing on projects such as Sexual and Gender-Based Violence, Sexual Reproductive Health, Emergency Health, HIV/TB, Protection, MHPSS, environment, Orphans and Vulnerable Children. Driven by her Christian faith, Justine aims to serve with love and compassion, aligning with HHA’s vision to uplift the vulnerable in refugee communities and promote dignity and hope.

Michael lives in Missouri and is the US/Haiti Country Director for Hope Health Action, traveling to Haiti multiple times a year. Outside of work he is an accomplished designer having managed his own marketing company while assisting HHA with various design projects. In addition, Michael is a freelance jazz artist/clinician and currently operates a warehouse and logistics company with his wife, Melissa.

Guylee has been involved in HHA’s work since first volunteering in Haiti in 2009 and has led a diverse range of design, construction and publicity work ever since. He designed and oversaw the construction of the hospital chapel, living in Haiti between 2016 and 2018. HHA recently welcomed Guylee back to the team, to lead the design and project management of our various building and infrastructure projects in both Haiti and East Africa. Guylee lives in Tromsø, Northern Norway.

Merren joined HHA in 2023 to focus on developing their fundraising and organisational strategies. She has a wide range of experience in working with small and medium charities - from promoting sustainable growth and developing branding and messaging, to designing and managing projects. She is also a trained wheelchair provisioner and is particularly passionate about disability care in developing countries.

Jemina holds accreditations in international development and sociocultural anthropology, with specialisms in the field of gender equity and women’s rights. Jemina has managed significant projects and grants across a spectrum of international organisations, she has acted as the CEO of an NGO tackling human trafficking in India and has sat on the board of GlobalGirl Media UK and Red Nose Day Finland.

Doug joined HHA in July 2023. As a chartered accountant with an extensive career in senior corporate management, within both audit and commerce, he provides insight and strategic overview whilst being ‘hands-on’ with day-to-day financial operations. He has been associated with HHA for many years, having previously visited and organised volunteer trips to Haiti, and undertaken various fundraising activities for the charity. He is delighted to join the team and help HHA with its mission to help others and change lives.

Joined HHA in 2015 as the Fundraising Coordinator, Tim now looks after various operational and logistical matters, such as IT, shipping and procurement.

Kuni rejoined HHA in 2022 for a second stint leading on our trusts ans grants fundraising. She is an experienced grants writer having won and managed large institutional in the past for HHA and other charities. Kuni is working on building our portfolio of trust funders in the UK and the US.

Carol has been a long-term volunteer for HHA having worked closely with the UK, Haiti and East Africa teams to improve safeguarding and administrative processes. She now leads on all things safeguarding including training local teams and visiting volunteers. Carol has also helped with many of HHA's fundraising events from quiz nights to trans-continental handbike relays!

Carwyn co-founded HHA following a visit to Haiti in 2005 and has since lead the charity, including managing grants as an implementing partner on behalf of DFID, UN, USAID and others. Carwyn also sits on the board of End Poverty 2030 and HHA US and was awarded an MBE in 2023 for services to international healthcare.

Florence is our Administration Officer at the BidiBidi disability centre handling many duties needed to operate the centre effectively. In addition to running the centre reception, she looks after a team of 3 cleaners and cooks.
