2020 Christmas Appeal is launched

We are pleased to announce the launch of our 2020 Christmas Appeal. Please get behind this appeal by making a donation and sharing our message with your own networks.

This Christmas, the poorest communities around the world are suffering, more than ever, with the long-term implications of the global COVID pandemic taking hold. Our Christmas Appeal is raising money to support some of the most vulnerable in Haiti and East Africa through improving access to maternal and infant healthcare, and addressing the growing food insecurity among refugees.

The impact of 2020’s COVID-19 crisis on economies, supply chains, and international aid funding has placed the world’s most vulnerable at even greater risk - a reality that will be present for a long time to come. However, through your dedicated support, there is hope. Despite mounting challenges, we’ve maintained our life-saving maternal and infant health services in Haiti, and increased our impact in East Africa, providing malnutrition treatment for thousands of young refugees, and empowering families to grow their own harvests sustainably.

In 2021, we continue our mission in a much-changed world, especially for small charities like HHA. Governments and grant-makers have reduced or removed available funding, fundraising events are still on hold, yet we must raise over £5,000 every month to help keep the Haiti hospital’s Maternity and Neonatal units open - just one of the vital project areas to which we are passionately committed. That’s why, this Christmas, we urgently need your help.

Please make a donation, do a home-based fundraising event, or get your church, work or school involved. Together, we can ensure that this life-saving work continues in 2021.
