Carwyn co-founded HHA following a visit to Haiti in 2005 and has since lead the charity, including managing grants as an implementing partner on behalf of DFID, UN, USAID and others. Carwyn also sits on the board of End Poverty 2030 and HHA US.

Finance Manager
Joined HHA in 2015 to head up our finances, following various other roles in the Finance sector. Ransford is a Chartered Certified Accountant and helps manage HHA’s day-to-day financial tasks, as well as broader strategic decisions.

Michael Goldsmith
Haiti/US Country Director
Michael lives in Missouri and is the US/Haiti Country Director for Hope Health Action, traveling to Haiti multiple times a year. Outside of work he is an accomplished designer having managed his own marketing company while assisting HHA with various design projects. In addition, Michael is a freelance jazz artist/clinician and currently operates a warehouse and logistics company with his wife, Melissa.

She is also a trained wheelchair provisioner and is particularly passionate about disability care in developing countries.

Kuni rejoined HHA in 2022 for a second stint leading on our trusts ans grants fundraising. She is an experienced grants writer having won and managed large institutional in the past for HHA and other charities. Kuni is working on building our portfolio of trust funders in the UK and the US.

Safeguarding Coordinator
Carol has been a long-term volunteer for HHA having worked closely with the UK, Haiti and East Africa teams to improve safeguarding and administrative processes. She now leads on all things safeguarding including training local teams and visiting volunteers. Carol has also helped with many of HHA's fundraising events from quiz nights to trans-continental handbike relays!

Pastor Edward is South Sudanese and leads our East Africa board along with various other important roles, such as President of the Baptist Convention of South Sudan. Edward is passionate about developing healthcare for the people of South Sudan through his work with HHA and other relief organisations.

Isaac started working for HHA East Africa in 2018 as a Field Officer and has since become our Programme Manager for all HHA East Africa operations. Isaac is working towards a degree in Public Administration and Management, and is humbled to serve God through supporting persons living with disabilities. He is grateful to put smiles into their lives and to be part of the HHA family vision.

Guylee Simmonds
Architect
Guylee has been involved in HHA’s work since first volunteering in Haiti in 2009 and has led a diverse range of design, construction and publicity work ever since. He designed and oversaw the construction of the hospital chapel, living in Haiti between 2016 and 2018. HHA recently welcomed Guylee back to the team, to lead the design and project management of our various building and infrastructure projects in both Haiti and East Africa. Guylee lives in Tromsø, Northern Norway.

Phil is currently based in Uganda having spent over a year in a similar role with our Haiti projects. He brings with him decades of relevant experience from a long career in the Navy and various Project Management roles. Phil is a big Rugby fan and enjoys motorbike touring.

East Africa - Driver/Mechanic
Bosco is from Kajo Keji, South Sudan. He joined as a driver in October 2021 and is also the team mechanic. In addition, Bosco looks after the Disability Centre compound ensuring it is a tidy and safe space for staff and visitors.

Anthony is the senior driver and watchman for HHA. His family fled the South Sudan war in 2017 and have since been living in Bidibidi Refugee Settlement, one of the largest settlements in the world. Anthony is an experienced driver and trustworthy watchman who loves spending time with our visiting teams and helping out wherever help is needed.

Mattia leads the physiotherapy department and coordinates all activities carried out within the department and externally with other related developmental partners. Mattia also loves travelling around the world exploring new ideas, skills and knowledge.

He studied Orthopaedic Technology at Mulago Paramedical School in Kampala and joined HHA in October 2021 to serve people living with disability through the creation of artificial limbs and training to use them.

Agnes is passionate about serving people with disabilities and loves to work in the community.

Hellen currently works as the Nutrition Administrator and Bookkeeper for HHA East Africa operations.
